DATA PROTECTION

1. Introduction

Data protection is very important to us and your trust is our top priority! We therefore always treat your personal data confidentially and naturally comply with all applicable data protection regulations. We therefore only process your personal data to the extent permitted by law or if you have given us your consent to do so.

2. Definition of terms

Unless this privacy policy contains or implies a different definition, reference is made to the definitions in Art. 4 GDPR with regard to the terms used.

3. When you visit our website

When you visit our website, we or our hosting provider webgo GmbH, Heidenkampsweg 81, D-20097 Hamburg, only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. The following data is transmitted: your IP address, date and time of the request, content of the request, HTTP status code, amount of data, website from which the request originates, browser, operating system and its interface, language and version of the browser software.
This data is technically necessary for us to display and make our website available to you in the best possible way. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. This data is stored for a period of three days and then deleted.

4. Using of cookies

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred from our web server or third-party web servers to your web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage. Some elements of our website require that the calling browser can be identified even after a page change. We use cookies to keep our website customer-friendly and functional. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

5. SSL or TLS encryption

Our website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

6. Google Fonts, Google Analytics and Google Maps

6.1 Google Fonts

We do not use fonts from Google Fonts on this website. No personal data is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data. Our fonts are stored on our own server located in Germany and are loaded from there and used for this website.

6.2 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics via Google My Business to analyse our website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimise our website and advertising measures. Google Analytics is a web analytics service operated and provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to take measures to ensure the confidentiality of the data processed.
During your visit to our website, the following data is recorded, among other things: Pages accessed, your behaviour on the pages (e.g. clicks, scrolling behaviour and length of stay), your approximate location (country and city), your IP address (in abbreviated form so that no clear assignment is possible), technical information such as browser, Internet provider, end device and screen resolution, source of your visit (i.e. via which website or advertising medium you came to us).
This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement. Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that can be used to recognise you on future visits to the website. The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form for an indefinite period.

6.3 Google Maps

Through Google My Business, we automatically use Google Maps from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Maps is an online map service provided by Google Inc. With Google Maps, you can search for the exact locations of cities, landmarks, accommodations or businesses on the Internet via a PC or an app. When companies are listed on Google My Business, additional information about the company is displayed alongside its location. In order for Google Maps to provide its full service, the company must collect and store data from you. This includes, among other things, the search terms you enter, your IP address and your latitude and longitude coordinates. Google stores some data for a specified period of time. For other data, Google only offers the option of deleting it manually. The company also anonymises information (such as advertising data) in server logs by deleting part of the IP address and cookie information after 9 or 18 months. Please note that we do not use Google Maps on this website, but Google automatically collects and processes coordination data via My Business, over which we have no control. Nevertheless, we offer you the option of deactivating Google Maps in our cookie settings to prevent any data transfers that may take place in the background and over which we have no control on the server side.

7. Transfer to third countries

We only process your personal data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA)) if it is necessary for the performance of our (pre)contractual obligations (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), on the basis of your consent (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), on the basis of a legal obligation (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR) or on the basis of our legitimate interests (in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The same applies to processing by third parties on our behalf, the disclosure of your personal data to third parties and its transfer to third parties.

8. Deletion of data

The data we process will be deleted in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR or restricted in its processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR. Unless otherwise specified in this privacy policy, the data we process will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention obligations preventing its deletion. We review the necessity every six months. If the data is not deleted because it is required for other, legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means that the data will be blocked and not used. This applies, for example, to data that must be retained for commercial or tax reasons. In accordance with legal requirements in Germany, commercial books, inventories, opening balance sheets, annual financial statements, commercial letters, accounting documents, etc. are stored or retained for six years in accordance with Section 257 (1) of the German Commercial Code (HGB), and books, records, management reports, accounting documents, commercial and business letters, and documents relevant for taxation, etc. in accordance with Section 147 (1) of the German Fiscal Code (AO) for ten years.

9. Safety measures

We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures in line with the latest technology to ensure compliance with German data protection laws and to protect the data we process against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. These security measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server.

10. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites and their owners, most of whom are our partners. We do not guarantee the accuracy or assume responsibility for the content, topicality and legal compliance of websites to which we link or from which we are linked. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. No illegal content was identified at the time of linking. Should we become aware of any legal violations, we will remove the corresponding link immediately.

11. Final provisions

We reserve the right to amend our privacy policy if this becomes necessary due to new technologies or changes to our data processing procedures, or in order to adapt it to changes in the legal situation applicable to us. However, this only applies to this privacy policy. If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent or if parts of the privacy policy contain provisions relating to our contractual relationship with you, any changes will only be made with your consent.
